Accessing the Internet from a Handheld Device
To add a Web site as a favorite in Pocket Internet Explorer, type the Web address into the Address Bar of Pocket Internet Explorer. Make sure the Pocket PC is connected to the Internet either through the desktop using Activesync, or through Wi-Fi, or through a modem. Tap on the curved arrow next to the Address Bar to connect to that Web site, then tap on the star icon in the Taskbar of the Pocket PC. The word "Favorites" will appear if you tap and hold your stylus on that icon. Tap on the Add/Delete tab.
To save a Web site from the desktop computer using Microsoft Explorer, select the "Create Mobile Favorites" icon from the toolbar. Type the name of the website in the blank, press the"Create In" button, and then the folder you would like to have it placed.
To save your favorite Web site in a new folder, tap on the "New Folder" button and create a new folder, or save the site in one of the existing folders. Tap on the "Add..." button. Enter the name that you would like the Web site to appear as in the Favorites. The URL of the Web site will be already there in the Address (URL) text box. From the "Create in:" drop down box select the folder in which you want to add your favorite Web site. Tap on the "Add" icon and your favorite Web site will be added to the Favorites in Pocket Internet Explorer.
